So this could have gone better

I guess the bad power supplies really are quite bad.

So now I have a project instead of something to do something.  I guess it doesn’t matter, I don’t have a keyboard, video cable, diskettes or anything.

About neozeed

What is there to tell? I’ve loved UNIX like things since I was first exposed to QNX in highschool (we had the Unisys ICONS!), and spent the better time of my teenage years trying to get my own UNIX… I should have bought Coherent in retrospect.. Anyways latched onto Linux in 1992, and then got some old BSD admin books and have been hooked on the VAX BSD & other big/ancient things since…!

    • I have a 220v to 110v step-down. I’ve used it with a bunch of Sony Japan only stuff without issue. I think the caps are just tired and old. Removing the old psu is a chore though. Apparently the last screw holding it in place is only reachable once you full dismantle the other side.

The good news is that it does have a 1mb expansion board, so it does have 2mb of ram!
