Windows NT

Starting life as OS/2 NT then after the great OS/2 rift, being rebuilt as Windows NT, it was first thought as being too big, too slow, and never achieving any measurable sucess in the mainstream market.

However all of that changed with Windows NT 4.0 in terms of business acceptance, then exploded with Windows XP and end user acceptance.

NT is a portable OS, chiefly designed by DEC’s Dave Cutler.
